“Milo’s First Visit to the Dentist”
We want your child’s first visit to be comfortable and enjoyable. Milo, our therapy-dog-in-training, walks you through his first visit, so that you and your child know what to expect for your first visit.
“First, I go through the door into the dentist office".”
“Next, they take my temperature and ask a few questions to make sure I am healthy.”
“I then wait for my turn. I can even watch movies while I wait.”
“When it’s my turn, I then get to lay on the comfy table for my appointment.”
“I get to pick my toothpaste flavor for my cleaning. It’s so hard to decide, sometimes!”
“We then take cool, see-through pictures of my teeth. Neat!”
“The dentist’s light is pretty bright, but they give me sunglasses if want to wear them.”
“Time to clean my teeth. This toothbrush spins!“
“Mr. Squirty comes to rinse my teeth clean, then Mr. Thirsty gets all the water out of my mouth.”
“They check for germs, then floss my teeth.“
“The doctor then comes and counts all of my freshly-cleaned and shiny teeth!”
“The doctor has a cool mirror that let’s her see all of the sides of my teeth.“
“I get my teeth painted with fluoride to help keep them healthy and shiny.“
“All done! I was good, so I earned a token! I put the token in the jar…“
“…and get to pick out my prize!”
“Yay! I did it! I am such a good boy!“
